The Ghost Inside | Baltimore, MD
On May 4th, the Wash It Away tour made its way to a sold-out show at The Soundstage in Baltimore, MD. The tour consisted of The Ghost Inside, Paleface Swiss, Bleed From Within, and Great American Ghost.
Great American Ghost wasted no time walking on stage and playing "Kingmaker,” and the crowd immediately burst into a mosh pit. The band debuted their new song, "Hymn of Decay," which sent the crowd into a frenzy. During "Altar of Snake," vocalist Ethan came up to the barricade multiple times, and the crowd was fighting to sing the lyrics with him. The band ended their set with fan favorite, "Ann Arbor (Be Safe)." Ethan jumped in the crowd during the last song and sang as they moshed around him.
Up next was Bleed From Within all the way from Scotland for their first time playing a show in Maryland. They kicked off their set with "Sovereign" and "Levitate,” and the crowd was nonstop moshing. The band loved every moment of the set this powered through the rest of their songs, leaving the energy for the next band.
Paleface Swiss took the stage next. They kicked off their set playing fan favorites "Please End Me" and "The Orphan," and these songs showcased the vocalist’s insane gutturals and vocal range. The crowd was crowd surfing and moshing nonstop. Paleface ended their set with "Pain" and encouraged the crowd to record them live to show everyone.
Before The Ghost Inside took the stage, you could hear the crowd chanting “TGI.” They dove straight into their set playing "Engine 45,” and the venue erupted as the entire crowd was singing all of the lyrics along with the band. You could see that the band loved the energy of the crowd as the venue even had to bring extra security for the amount of incoming crowd surfers. The band continued their set, playing songs off of Dear Youth and Get What You Give. The entire band smiled as they saw the crowd moving and singing. They continued their set with some songs off their new album, Searching For Solace. This was the first time they played these songs live, but the crowd did not stop moving. They slowed things down and played "Phoenix Fire," where bassist Jim started the song as the crowd took out their phones for light. Vocalist Jonathan took a moment to tell the crowd that the fans' love is why they can continue as a band. They picked things back up with "Deathgrip." You could hear the gnarly riffs and crash of the cymbals echoing throughout the entire room. Ethan from Great American Ghost took the stage to sing with the band during one song, which riled the crowd into chaos. The band ended their set with "Avalanche" and "Aftermath." The crowd was screaming for more after the band walked off the stage. Throughout the entire set, you could see how much joy the band had being on stage.
