Bayside | Austin, TX

On April 13th, 2024 Bayside took over Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas for their There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive Tour, in celebration of their newest album under the same name. On this tour, they brought along Finch, Armor For Sleep, and Winona Fighter to open up the show.

We started off the night with Winona Fighter, a high-energy punk band from Nashville. They have great chemistry with each other and the crowd. Anticipating their album coming this summer, they got the crowd all warmed up for the bands to follow.

Second to take the stage, Armor For Sleep from New Jersey played their nostalgic emo hits like “Remember to Feel Real” and “Dream to Make Believe.” The crowd moshed and sang along start to finish. Up next, Finch from California brought a heavier edge, starting with “Rainy Day” and “Letters to You.” The crowd moshed and crowd surfed their whole set with some sing-along songs throughout.

To end the night, Bayside took the stage, kicking the show off with some upbeat punk rock bangers. They played a mix of songs off their new album There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive and hits like “Devotion and Desire” and “Blame it on Bad Luck.” A night of nostalgia, crying, and dancing to our favorite emo tunes.
