Badflower | Chicago, IL

Park West in Chicago hosted Badflower on the No Place Like Home tour. On tour with them is MISSIO and Slothrust, they have made a stop to play Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville KY, and will also be making a stop to play Aftershock in Sacramento CA. 

Opening up the night was Austin Texas based band, MISSIO, starting off their set with “The Higher You Climb” and “Twisted”. Part way through the set Vocalist Matthew candidly speaks to the crowd about how strange it is to have someone sing to you, then continues on to play “Sing to Me” and Closing out with “Good Vibrations”.

Up next was Slothrust, an alternative rock band, opening up with “Surf Goth” and “juice”. They played their cover of Britany Spears “...Baby One More Time”. They closed out with “For the Record” and “Crockpot”.

Badflower took the stage to a full room and a crowd ready to sing, Starting out with a high energy song “Teacher has a Gun” followed by “Don’t Hate Me”. After playing “Stalker” the band walked off the stage leaving the drummer behind to perform an insane solo! When they came back out Vocalist Josh Katz showed up in the back of the crowd and jumped in and started to get people moving around. After playing some fan favorites “Ghost” and “Heroin”, Josh asked if we wanted them to play more songs, asking “one more song? Two more Songs? THREE MORE SONGS!? We have 2 more then we are gonna walk off stage and if you want more song You know what to do”. They came back out and played a three song encore consisting of “Detroit” “30” and “Girlfriend”.
