Thursday October 3rd, Atarashii Gakko stopped at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on the second part of their world tour in support of their most recent album AG! Calling. Before the band took the stage they showed the audience a tour exclusive music video of the song SHIMI by Japanese metalcore act Maximum the Hormone, prominently featuring members of Atarashii Gakko. The crowd was immediately captivated. The set consisted mostly of songs from AG! Calling such as Omakase, Fly High and Essa Hoisa, sprinkled in were hits from their catalog and awesome remixes. AG’s energy is absolutely unrivaled, the band doing wardrobe changes from traditional Japanese garb to their signature school uniforms, bringing out props and the most insane choreography imaginable without missing a beat. Atarashii Gakko called, and Chicago answered.
